It has taken me a week or so to catch up and realize that, yes, Christmas is over (it must be because all of the See's candy is gone!) and it is time to get into the spirit of the New Year! Ready or not 2012 is here and I am celebrating by offering my first ever, on-line, creative workshops. It is something I have been saying I wanted to do for the past two years and, by gosh, now is the time. I hope you will join me in my state of creative bliss and we can flourish together! Please visit my art workshop page for details and let me know if you have any questions! I look forward to hearing from you and sharing much creativity throughout the year.

I enjoy following your blog and already know you are an amazing teacher. :)
Would like to take painting in pajamas because it starts on Valentine's Day and I love paint!♥
I would love to take Painting in pajamas, it sounds like fun. I would really like to learn about the brushes and learn the different painting techniques. I am very new so I have lots to learn.
ReplyDeleteHow generous! I like Creative Muscles mainly because I LOVE talking about art! Subscribed to your blog, I really like your art!
ReplyDeleteNew follower here. I love the sound of "Painting in Pajamas". I am fairly new to making art and art journaling, so being able to learn about different media and tools would be awesome. Plus what's not cool about staying in your PJs and making art!!
ReplyDeletehow sweet and generous! i would want to take painting in my pajamas. i want to learn more techniques and watch a pro! thank you for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the Happy Hour course. Sounds like what I would need given I work full-time. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love the Painting in Pajamas idea! Especially since I often do that and would love some company!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kristen!
ReplyDeleteThese all sound like such fun! Hooray!!! I've been wanting to create jewelry for quite some time now, so your "Happy Hour" course sounds right up my alley! (Although, I usually paint in my pajamas! Hee hee!)
This is such a fun and exciting way to start the new year!

p.s. I am already a follower.
All of the workshops sound fabulous! :) My favorite from the description is Painting in Pajamas. Because I like to be comfortable and also I'd love to learn more about watercolors. :) So generous of you Kristen to offer such a fantastic giveaway! Thanks for the chance! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your venture, I love the sound of Painting in Pajamas, as I'm also known as PJ - that would make it PJ Painting in PJ's LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi KaePea. I admire your paintings, and that would be the number one influencing factor that makes me want to take one of your courses. I feel your prices are fair, for where you are on your journey. I see your workshops are offered at different times of the year. If they were not, the number one class I would want to take is 'Painting in PJ's'. This is because I have played around with painting but have had very little formal instruction. I personally could use more information on paint surfaces and techniques w/ water color, acrylic, and gouache. I have never used gouache and am currently interested in it (or w/ watercolor and/or acrylic) because I think you may be able to use it on a high quality paper, easier than acrylics? My budget is limited and i want to potentially make pieces that can be sold, yet at the same time can't afford canvases for everything I make at this time. Secondly, the 'Creative Muscles" course would be of interest to me. I have always enjoyed learning a little of art history through out my life, so discussing elements of my favorites historical artist as well as favorite current artist while keeping a sketch book and applying principles of design sounds like it would be of value to me. Thirdly, regarding the "Happy Hour" course. Currently, although stamp carving sounds interesting,I am not interested in the earrings. I would like to know more about techniques to combine collage with painting, but currently this class is least of interest to me, because I need more experience with painting techniques and design elements. I hope this discussion is helpful to you (although I understand what I need will vary from what other people need) and it would be great if I win a place in one of your courses, although even if I don't I think at some point I may take one. One other thing... I just realized I did not look to see the times the pajama course is held. I work out of my house during the night, so I would only be able to take this course if it were held in the evenings, because I go to sleep in the mornings after getting off of work at 8 am. I am not able to be flexible with staying up during the day, as this leads to migraines.
ReplyDeleteHi KaePea,
ReplyDeleteI am most intrigued by your painting in Pj's. Two reasons - My most intuitive, creative artistic times are in the morning, in my Pj's with my coffee! Every morning I devote time to creating in some form. I also love painting, it brings me such joy to feel the paint & brush gliding over the paper- that said I have put it on the side for many months choosing writing and doodling instead and need some creative inspiration based on painting to bring me back to my element. I would love to do that with your e-course. Thanks for the consideration! :)kelly
I am a new subscriber to your blog. I found you through the mixed media facebook page. Congrats on your new classes. You are incredibly talented and I would love to paint in my pjs.
ReplyDeleteI am a new subscriber to your blog too. I found you through the Art Eye Candy FB group and purchased my word rock. I think Painting in Pajamas would be up my alley. I want to learn more about grounds and how you use acrylic paint for watercolor effects. Thank you for this awesome opportunity!
ReplyDeleteHi Kae Pea, I am now following your blog. I decided to follow you before I saw your giveaway. Your new classes look great and I wish you success with them. 'Painting in pajamas' is right up my alley, as I have, on many occasion, painted in my pj's. I even have a pair of pj's that are stained with oil paint. he he he. Just watched your You tube videos. It was great to see you. 2012 is going to be a BIG creative year for you for sure. Best wishes, Kyles =D
ReplyDeleteVery exciting!!! Love the sound of your creative muscles class. I'd be thrilled to be a lucky winner!!!
